What changed
Augmenter for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. - Capture and sync run in Augmenter's background computer service and continue when the desktop app closes. - Choose what to capture, pause collection, and manage the background service from the app and menu bar. - Updates download in the background and install only after you approve the restart. Tasks and conversations connect to your account’s hosted record.
Capture keeps running when the app closes
Augmenter installs a separate background service. Once you enable capture, it can keep recording while the todo list app is closed and resume after you restart your Mac and sign in. Quitting the app does not pause capture.
Use the Augmenter menu bar controls to pause capture. You can also disable its background item in macOS System Settings. Capture cannot run while your Mac is shut down, asleep, or logged out.
You choose what is collected
Capture starts off. Enable the sources you want and grant the corresponding macOS permissions. Permission to capture, permission to send evidence to the cloud, and permission to process it with AI are separate choices.
Help and removal
Disable the background service in Augmenter before removing the app. Removing the service and deleting your record are separate actions.
